COURCY'S
MILL
Conception and realization of two
cartouches connected on a cul-de-lampe.
The
profile is in a U form to embrace the transversal
square beam in ceiling which divide two separated
spaces.
The composition of the
sculpture has come easy : in one hand the client
have wished to have written somewhere the name of
his mill, and in an other hand, I was guided by the
atmosphere of the place : Austerity and Nobility of
the architecture, freestones, a beautiful oak smart
carpentry have helped my composition choice.
I have choose the baroque high age and the oak
wood to express "austerity / nobility"; this style
have allowed a kind of stiffness in the vertical
design of the ornaments.
